Elephant Update: March

A lot has occurred since the last Elephant Update, locally, nationally, and internationally. There are no words to adequately express the different emotions or the challenges of processing all the news. In short, we are a reflection of those we vote for; please vote wisely.

Platform.

Once a month, we like to publish an excerpt from the Klickitat County Republicans Platform, our values and guiding principles. This month we are featuring:

BEHAVIOR We support 1. Integrity courtesy and transparency at all levels of government, and in all political campaigns; Working together, being organized, planning ahead in a timely manner; Reaching out to our citizens, encouraging each other to make a difference.

2. Requesting elected officials at all levels from PCOs through local, state and federal levels be willing to listen to the citizens and be open to suggestions for potential change which will be of benefit to their constituency.

3. Congressional cooperation

4. Stopping our over involvement in foreign affairs

5. Requiring public office holders and public employees have no exemption to laws and regulations.

6. Civil discourse between candidates, constituents and the public

On March 1st, Truckers left Troutdale, OR, and headed east on I-84 to join up with the Trucker's Convoy which is now in the DC area. We had around 100 flag wavers on the overpass in Hood River with more flag wavers at The Dalles and Biggs overpasses. It was a great day to show the flag and enjoy the community of Americans who believe in Liberty. We had several truckers and drivers honk and wave for their country. Thank you!

Always remember, YOU ARE THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM.
